Asgard In Time For Christmas

Sunday, 13 December 2009

C&F has just reviewed Alastair Lee's latest offering The Asgard Project, and he tells us it's now available as a DVD in time for Christmas. It's fair to say few film directors have been through what Lee had to cope with, living on a portalege for twelve days and jumaring up ropes that were being rubbed raw against the rock in bad weather. Having to clear the mountain of fixed ropes and gear after Houlding and Leary has base-jumped from the summit must have been a bit of a chore too. It's one of those grim choices, a few seconds of weapons-grade adrenaline or abseiling for what turned out to be thirty hours. Kudos.
