Having won the Banff Grand Prize with their first narrative non-fiction book – Jerry Moffatt's autobiography Revelations – Sheffield-based publisher Vertebrate Graphics has bought the rights to publish Boardman Tasker winner Steve House's mountaineering memoirs, Beyond The Mountain. Publication date is 1 February. That should make getting hold of a copy a lot easier for British readers, currently relying on Amazon to ship a copy from the States. C&F will review the book in due course, but for now, here's a piece I did for The Guardian to coincide with House's UK visit in November, with a flavour of what to expect.
