London's Himalaya Film Festival
Friday, 29 January 2010
Given how large London's Himalayan diaspora is, from Kashmiris, to Tibetans and Nepalis, it seems amazing that no one has thought of holding a Himalayan film festival there before. Better late than never. The festival is on right now, although it extends into the second week of February so you've got plenty of time to experience some of it. There's a lot going on, some great movies, exhibitions, lectures and concerts, so I'd urge you to explore the website. It's a classy production. I'm hoping to get down to London on 8 February for an exhibition at the Nehru Centre and the movie Mountain Patrol at the festival's cinema Rich Mix.
